Motion cameras catching movement, but nothing on playback?

Got trail cams around a suspected nest. The motion triggers every night around 2–3 AM.

But the captured videos show NOTHING.

Not static. Not blur. Just… empty space.

I thought the cams were busted, but the motion sensor logs never lie. Anyone know what travels invisible to digital video but still sets off PIR sensors?
